ShopMuse
DESIGN
A Philadelphia startup owner, approached our team with an idea to gather merchandise from several museums into a centralized website and app. We were tasked with creating a web prototype that eventually evolved into a website with a product-focused design and simple categorization system, allowing users and museum managers to find what they’re searching for easily.
Identifying the needs of customers, the museums themselves, and the shop managers underneath their roof came first. Using an app like Shopmuse would remove the issues many shop managers faced when dealing with their own infrastructure or CMS, and consolidating their items with other museums could generously increase their audience. As we moved into UI design and prototyping, we had to make sure the app and front-end experience was pleasant and easy to use. That’s where I came in. I assisted in turning wireframes into visual designs where an engaging and organized storefront remained at the center of the designs - I created style guides for the external development team and assisted in usability testing and QA. I assisted in the basic user experience and navigation of the app, creation of page layouts and image editing of provided photography.
